The solemn transfer of the AN-26 to Ukrainian Armed Forces
The delegation of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces led by General Staff Chief, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Gen. V. Muzhenko, and the Ukroboronprom State Concern represented by Assistant Director General in charge of Aircraft Engineering and Production V. Korobov, arrived at SE PLANT 410 CA on December 27, 2016 to attend the official ceremony of AN-26 aircraft transfer to the Ukrainian Air Force.
SE PLANT 410 CA Director General V. Gankevych made aware the honoured guests of the plant capacities for engine overhaul and testing. In the airside, the high-ranking officials visited the aircraft overhaul facilities and the flight testing complex, as well as familiarized themselves with the retrofit AN-26 aircraft.
Gen. V. Muzhenko, General Staff Chief, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, thanked the SE PLANT 410 CA employees for fruitful cooperation, highlighted Ukraine’s strong need for reliable aircraft, especially for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and stressed the importance of that remarkable event for military transport aviation and the enhancement of this country’s defense power.
In turn, SE PLANT 410 CA Director General V. Gankevych showed gratitude to the Ministry of Defense for the credibility given to the plant and assured that SE PLANT 410 CA as part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern had enough potential to be put in new aircraft equipment overhaul orders, including helicopters.
Gankevych presented Military Unit 2215 Commander Col. D. Filatov with the Certificate of Overhauled Aircraft and the pilot-in-command with airplane keys.
Filatov thanked SE PLANT 410 CA for effective collaboration emphasizing that was one more aircraft for their military unit to be dispatched on special military missions, and he wished the plant professionals Happy New Year and Merry Christmas.
